PART is the most comprehensive statewide GIS tool available to land use and land reuse professionals in West Virginia.
Created by WVLSC to help land use and reuse professionals address abandoned, dilapidated, and underutilized properties, PART builds comprehensive search filters and profiles for the nearly 1.4 million parcels in West Virginia. PART compiles data from national, state and local sources through WVLSC’s partnership with Tolemi’s Building Blocks and through our network of land banks, county officials, and municipal teams.

Tolemi
The name, Tolemi (tol-uh-mee), is a play on Ptolemy, the Greek polymath most famously known for combining disparate maps to produce the first complete, accurate picture of the world. Their goal is to make smarter, more effective governments – vital institutions that protect and strengthen the communities and people they serve.

Where does the data come from?
PART compiles data from local, state and national sources. Filter dataset sources can be found by hovering over the information button next to each filter. For more information on datasets and sources, please contact us at PART@wvlsc.org.
The site is slow/not loading. What should I do?
PART works best when accessed on a desktop computer, using Google Chrome or Firefox. The tool will not load using Internet Explorer.
Querying data for 1.4 million parcels can take some time– if you are searching in a specific county or municipality, try using the Overlays in the Add Filters menu to limit your searches.
